Journal Manuscript Submissions

Authors should prepare manuscripts in accordance with the length, style, and documentation directions in the Guidelines for the Preparation of Manuscripts.

The Academy has instituted online manuscript submissions. To submit your manuscript, go to http://www.editorialmanager.com/michacad/.

Please be prepared to enter the following information when asked in the online system.

Manuscript title

Short title (running head)

Abstract (may be cut and pasted from a word processor)
Authors’ names
Authors’ institutions or organizations
Corresponding Author’s permanent mailing address, telephone number, and email address (only author’s name and affiliation will appear in the publication)
Names of undergraduate student authors

You may optionally include a cover letter introducing the manuscript and highlighting its contribution to scholarship in your field.  If you have presented the work at a meeting of the Michigan Academy, you should note the section and year in which the paper was presented.

Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two referees. Identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process and revealed only with express permission. Authors’ names and institutional affiliations should not be revealed in the manuscript. These will be entered separately during the on-line submission process. Accordingly, please redact any information (citations that imply authorship of the manuscript, statements of compliance with human subject review boards, etc.) that would reveal an author’s identity or institutional affiliation to a reviewer.

If the manuscript is recommended for publication, authors are expected to respond to comments made by the reviewers. Page proofs are sent to authors to check for accuracy.
